Getting Started with CloviForms¶
What This Tool Does¶
CloviForms is a form builder that lets you create forms and collect submissions without writing any code. Describe the form you want in plain English and the AI builds it for you in about ten seconds, or drag and drop fields yourself. Every plan — including the free one — gives you unlimited submissions, so you never get punished for being popular.
Use it to capture leads, run surveys, take registrations, collect payments, gather feedback, or handle intake forms. You build the form once, share a link or embed it on your site, and the responses land in your dashboard.

Quick Start¶
- Create your account. Sign up on the CloviForms home page and confirm your email. You start on the Free plan, no payment details needed. If you already use another Clovi tool, sign in with the same email — your access carries over.
- Build your first form. From the dashboard, click New Form. Either type a plain-English description and let the AI build it, or start blank and drag fields onto the canvas.
- Share it. Open the Share tab and copy your form link, grab the QR code, or copy the embed snippet to drop the form onto your own website.
- Watch the responses come in. Open any form and click Submissions to see every response, export them, or wire up a webhook to send them straight into your other tools.

Core Features¶
AI Form Builder¶
This is the fastest way to get a form live. Click New Form, type something like "a demo request form that collects name, work email, company, and how many orders they ship a month," and CloviForms returns a finished, publish-ready form in about ten seconds — fields, labels, validation, and a submit button included. Edit anything you want afterward, then publish.
Drag-and-Drop Builder¶
Prefer to build it yourself? Open the builder and drag fields from the palette on the left onto your form. You get more than thirty field types, grouped into three tiers:
- Basic — short text, paragraph, email, phone, number, website URL, date, and dropdown.
- Advanced — multiple choice, checkboxes, file upload, star rating, NPS score, address, and section headers.
- Premium — signature pad, payment collection, GPS location, and matrix grids.
Click any field to open its settings on the right: change the label, mark it required, set validation rules, or add conditional logic so fields appear only when they are relevant.
The builder: drag fields from the palette, drop them on the canvas, and edit settings on the right.
Ready-Made Templates¶
Not sure where to start? Pick from 31 pre-built templates across six categories — lead generation, feedback, onboarding, education, e-commerce, and services. Clone one, change the wording to fit your business, and publish. Examples include Newsletter Signup, NPS Survey, Event Registration, Support Ticket, and Discovery Call Booking.
Share and Embed¶
Every published form gets its own link you can share anywhere. You can also:
- Generate a QR code for print materials, packaging, or event signage.
- Embed it on your website with a one-line snippet — an iframe or a lightweight widget that matches your page's colors.
- Use the standalone landing page if you want the form to live on its own page.
Submissions and Analytics¶
Open any form to see every response in one place. Export submissions as needed, and check the analytics tab for views, completion rate, and where people drop off — so you can spot the field that is scaring respondents away and fix it.
Webhooks and API¶
Send each submission straight into your other tools the moment it arrives. Register a webhook on any paid plan to get notified on every submission, or use the API to create forms and pull submissions programmatically. See the API Reference for details.
Redeeming an AppSumo Code¶
If you bought CloviForms through AppSumo, here is how to unlock your plan:
- Create your CloviForms account (or sign in) using the same email you want the deal tied to.
- Open Account → Billing and find the Redeem Code box.
- Paste the code from your AppSumo purchase and click Redeem. Your account upgrades right away, and your AI form credits refresh every month.

Plans¶
The Free plan gives you three forms, unlimited submissions, and a handful of AI-built forms each month — plenty to get going. Paid plans raise your form and AI limits and unlock conditional logic, webhooks, branding removal, payment collection, white-label, team access, and the API.
